Hello world. My name is Anima and I am the creator and writer of this blog. I was born into a military family, so I was born in Germany, but grew up living in different areas of the United States. Most of my time was spent in San Antonio, TX or Southern Illinois.

After graduating from Judson Senior HS when I was residing in San Antonio, TX, I moved back to Illinois and completed my BS in Psychology. I graduated December 2007 and commissioned into the Army Reserves as a 2nd Lieutenant officer. It was around this time I realized that I really didn’t know if the path that I was on was really what I wanted to do.

After a tour in Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010 I returned to the states even more unsure of my future endeavors and more confused about my “life” in general. Luckily this was the time I met my husband. He opened my eyes and unveiled a world of opportunity. It was an arduous journey that I am still navigating.

The blog is a sort of memoir with hints of insight, humor, and nuggets of guidance for anyone else going through the throes of life. My main objective is to help those who are at a point in their life where they may be questioning their own path. I hope I can provide some insight and guidance. The light at the end of the tunnel is closer than you think.
