There is never a right time to start something. There’s always the sentiment to start something with the beginning of something else. For example, starting a new work out regime at the beginning of the year, or starting a new habit at the beginning of the week, or maybe even ending a bad habit and waiting until the beginning of the month.
Why is this the narrative? To start something at the beginning of something else? Today is July 6th, 2024 its a Saturday and its a little after 2pm. I have been “starting” this blog for about 3 years, yes THREE years! I was always waiting for the right time, doing research, or hesitating because I was worried about what others thought. Then today, after my husband, I, and the kids did some fishing. I told myself, today is the day. Sometimes the best way to start a new chapter, a new project, a new hobby, habit, diet, or anything in between … is to just start.
Full disclosure, I have started blogs before, in fact this very blog is sort of a revamp of one I started last year. But when life happens and a break is needed and interrupts the beginnings of a new goal, it falls by the wayside. Which is ok. But it is also ok to pick things up where we left off. Why have we formed habits to scrap the idea all together and start a new? It’s ok for a new beginning to start from an old ending. I had to be ok with that.
So this blog was started last year, but now I am beginning with a year of changes, a fresh look, and new insights in to life. And, this time if life happens, it’s ok. I’ll take a break and pick up where I left off.
So let’s get into it and start this new beginning together. Of course I’ll be talking about the old, but knowing your history keeps you from repeating your past, so that you can have a brighter future.
My website is titled True Wife Confessions, and I chose this title because I was always unsure of what my purpose was, who I was, what I represented. After being married now for 8 years and being with my husband for 14 years, I’ve realized the title of wife has much more merit, more power, more influence, more grace, and more resilience than we care to give it. It holds so much more weight and encompasses so much more to life.
I’d like to take you on this journey to show you how a Wife has a platform and a pedestal that should be upheld and celebrated everyday.
Peace and Blessings. Always Anima
